U.N. Navy VF-1 "The Wolf Pack" VF-1J

By Jason W. Smith

Dream Catcher VF-1

This is U.N. Navy VF-1A-10-SD (upgraded to VF-1J-30 standard), "Harriska," flown by Commander (later RADM) Peter Joshua "Husky" Kaufman. Kaufman flew this aircraft from his combat debut in 2009 until it was lost in a crash four years later. It is shown in the markings it wore when he was Commander of VF-1 "The Wolf Pack" in late-2013. "Harriska" was the nickname of Josh's wife, Kristy Ann Kaufman (formerly Harris).

This is the signature paint scheme for RADM Kaufman. This fighter, with more than 300 victories to its credit, was one of the highest scoring Valkyries of the First Robotech War--and of all time. The carcass was excavated from its crash site in 2052 and is currently undergoing restoration to flying condition at the Texas Air Force Museum in San Antonio, Texas. Due to the extensive damage suffered it is expected that the majority of the components used in the restoration will be from spare parts stock or remanufactured from new material. The goal of the restoration is to keep the fighter as close to original as possible and return one of these venerable warriors to the air once more. It will be painted in the markings it wore at the end of the First Robotech War.

NOTE: VALKYRIE STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!
